Vlaag is a local, established, insured roofing company hiring door-to-door storm canvassers. After a storm you knock the streets it hit, and the offer at every door is simple and real: a free drone inspection of the roof, flown by an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, with every photo shared with the homeowner. Our app hands you the route, the storm facts for each house, and the words to say at the door. You book the inspection on the spot, then come back on inspection day to meet the homeowner and get the agreement signed. No roofing experience needed. The office handles everything after the sign, so your deals get finished and you get paid.
What you'll do
- Walk the storm-hit streets the app routes you to and knock the doors on your list
- Offer the free drone inspection at the door and book it on the spot in the app
- Leave a door hanger where nobody answers, so the house keeps getting followed up
- Come back on inspection day to meet the homeowner, knock the neighbors while the drone flies, and get the agreement signed
- Log every door in the app so your route and your pay stay accurate
- You never negotiate anyone's insurance claim. The homeowner reports it to their insurer, and the office handles everything after the sign.
What we look for
- 18 or older
- Comfortable walking and working outdoors, in the heat, the cold and right after a storm
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Live within driving range of our service area
- Available evenings and Saturdays, when homeowners are home
- Comfortable with 1099 commission and profit-share pay
- Sales or canvassing experience is a plus, but not required
- Able to pass a background check
Pay & upside
Uncapped 1099 commission and profit-share, plus a bonus for every inspection you book that is held. You earn a share of each job's real profit, paid in two parts as the insurance checks come in, and the inspection bonus is paid when the inspection happens, not when it is booked. Reps in roofing sales commonly earn around $65k to $75k a year hitting weekly goals, and top performers make $100k to $250k or more. Those numbers are a market range, not a guarantee, and what you earn depends on your results. There is no hourly base.
